Full Caravan Service

Peace of mind for the safety of yourself and your family

Annual servicing is essential for your caravan to provide peace of mind for the safety of yourself and your family alongside safety for other road users when towing.

We are a member of the Approved Workshop Scheme (AWS). This means that we can carry out your caravan servicing whilst maintaining your manufacturer’s warranty. All caravans with manufacturer’s warranty will need a full caravan service annually (in line with the original purchase date) in order to maintain the full warranty status. For Swift and Elddis owners, we will upload all paperwork to the manufacturers directly. For all other manufacturers, it is the customer’s responsibility to maintain all servicing documentation.   The AWS scheme is supported by all major UK manufacturers.

All caravan servicing is carried out by fully trained staff and our company has public liability insurance. We regularly undertake industry standard training in caravan maintenance, repair and gas servicing (Acops). Our caravan servicing is an extremely thorough 67 point check.

Our service van is equipped to carry out any caravan service. The caravan service can be carried out at a place to suit you, whether it be at home, on site or in storage. No longer will you have the inconvenience and expense of taking your caravan to the main dealers.

How often should I get my caravan serviced?

It is advised that you get your caravan serviced annually . Even if your caravan is out of warranty, a service ensures that the caravan is safe for your family’s habitation and is roadworthy. In order to maintain your manufacturer’s warranty, it is essential to get it serviced in line with your original purchase date (see your service schedule). You must also keep all paperwork. Failure to do so may invalidate your warranty.

How long does a service take?

A single axle service will take between 3-4 hours with a single engineer. If there is more than one engineer it will take less time. A twin axle caravan will take slightly longer.

How do I prepare my caravan for a mobile service?

You will need to remove all security (hitch lock, wheel lock etc) before the service. It is also helpful if the caravan can be connected to water, gas and electric supplies. Please advise at time of booking if it is to be carried out on a storage site so that we can bring necessary services with us. We will also perform a damp check on your caravan and so wallboards need to be accessible in bunks and cupboards. Clear access is needed within the caravan and a minimum of 1m around the caravan.

Can you service on a storage site?

Yes. Please advise us of this at the time of booking and we will ensure that we bring the necessary equipment with us. Please also contact the site owner to confirm access arrangements with them.

Do I have to take the caravan back to the dealer that I bought it from for a service?

No. You can take it to any engineer who has AWS (Approved Workshop) status. These workshops are assessed annually and so this will ensure that your warranty is still valid and you get peace of mind for thorough and quality workmanship.
