CRiS Re-Registration
CRiS Re-Registration
Striving to keep our road users and caravan owners safe, Neil the Caravan Medic is able to carry out Total Loss Re-Registration Inspections on behalf of the Central Registration & Identification Scheme (CRiS). This inspection covers both Category S and, more recently Category N insurance write off caravans.
Note:
- Cat S (formally Cat C) Write Off – The vehicle is repairable but the costs exceed the vehicles value. Can re appear on the road.
- Cat N (formally Cat D) Write Off – The vehicle is repairable but the repair costs are significant compared with the vehicles value including time delays to source parts. Can re appear on the road.
The inspection is in relation to the viewable condition of the caravan at the time of inspection only and does not include any removal/dismantling of parts, testing of appliances, testing of the electrical or gas systems or testing for damp.
The work can be carried out at a place to suit you, whether it be at home, on site or in storage. No longer will you have the inconvenience and expense of taking your caravan to the main dealers.
Here’s what you can expect from a CRiS Re-registation:
- We will visually inspect the caravan at the time of the inspection and write a report. It does not include any removal/dismantling of parts, testing of appliances, testing of the electrical or gas systems or testing for damp.
- We complete any additional paperwork and send it to CRiS for processing.
- An additional admin fee of £25 will be payable to Neil the Caravan Medic.
- An additional registrations fee will be payable directly to CRiS.
